I grew up in Sydney; now living on the Gold Coast studied hospitality and tourism management, found my way into IT consulting and knew that I had more to give. I wanted to share lifes experiences. I had an epiphany, I found the International College of Celebrancy and now I’m a fully qualified Celebrant, a Justice of the Peace and a hopeless romantic.
I consider myself to be one of the lucky ones that finds their passion. It was honestly like someone turned a light on in my life . It all started when my brother and I decided to have laser eye surgery together, that in itself is another story. But basically, I was in a foggy haze for a few days and as my brother and I laid in the sun with our heads in the shade and we didn’t really have anymore to say to each other one tends to reflect on the profound question: ~ what am I doing with my life? and I found that the one thing in life that everyone wants to have and wants to give is love. Where do we find love? quickly followed and the answer was at the airport and weddings. I didn’t really want to work at the airport and I thought how awesome would it be to marry people. I then dismissed my thoughts putting it down to over analysing due to boredom. A year passed, I had traveled, and couldn’t stop thinking about how much i wanted to be a celebrant and marry people giving families options for their naming and commitment ceremonies and even be there for strangers in their time of need. This was the best decision I ever made and life just felt right.
I believe to be the best celebrant I can, I must understand the full life cycle of the ceremony world, which is why I perform naming ceremonies, coming of age, weddings, commitment, renewal of vows and funerals.
I am living, and celebrating life!
